Stelia Aerospace Celebrates 50th Delivery Of Global 7500 Jet

Stelia North America specializes in the design and assembly of the total central fuselage phases for the Global 7500 jet, fully equipped with the hydraulic and electrical systems.

The firm’s North American groups shifted to the Mirabel site in 2014, and after extension works in January 2019, all 250 workers are under the same umbrella.

Stelia has been a companion of the Canadian plane manufacturer for eight years, from the design and delivery of the first phases coming from Méaulte in the North of France and reserved for the test aircraft, to the first flight of the Global 7500 plane in November 2016 and the latest certification by the Canadian transport authorities, the FAA and the EASA.

Cédric Gautier, CEO of Stelia Aerospace, stated: “We’re happy to mark the fifth anniversary of our site in Quebec, which signifies Stelia Aerospace in Canada. We’re proud to associate with this event our client Bombardier, with whom now we have developed strong ties since 2011, thereby growing our business in Canada.

Michel Ouellette, senior vice chairman, program administration and engineering, Bombardier Aviation added: “Stelia Aerospace is a world-class vendor that has worked intently with Bombardier in the growth, certification, and entry-into-service of the Global 7500, Bombardier’s flagship plane. The Global 7500 plane is altering the panorama, revolutionizing the sector and shaping the future of business aviation and we’re thrilled that Stelia Aerospace has become the most important domestic employer in our supply chain.”

With a turnover of €2,2 billion and 7,000 workers worldwide (4,500 in France and 2,500 in North America, Morocco, and Tunisia), Stelia Aerospace is among the world leaders in the domain of aerostructures, pilot seats and business-class and first-class passenger seats.
